New C&R scientist
In 2017 we welcome a new scientist to the crew at C&R! Sarah Ballard is the latest addition to the C&R team, recently graduating from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Marine Science with Honours in Coral Reef Geomorphology. Her research was based on Coral Shingle Ridge formations within the central Great Barrier Reef and their use as storm proxies. She has diverse field experience from work on a number of islands within the Great Barrier Reef, including Holbourne Island and Middle Island. With experience in both administration and as a field technician/research assistant, Sarah comes to C&R with a broad range of skills and a witty sense of humour.
